Just one week before Election Day, the Friedman campaign is gearing up to get out the vote in communities across the 4th Middlesex district following its most recent endorsement from the Coalition for Social Justice.
In praising the Friedman campaign’s ground organization, Campaign Co-chair and resident of Woburn Brenna Donnelly said, “Our volunteers have been out in the district almost every single day since our kickoff six weeks ago. They’ve worked extremely hard and have continually received positive feedback about Cindy from their neighbors in the five communities.”
Donnelly went on, “This race will be won by neighbors talking to neighbors in the field. I encourage residents of the 4th Middlesex to join our fight in the remaining days before Election Day and sign up to volunteer for Cindy.”
Former Arlington Selectman and Campaign Co-chair Clarissa Rowe added, “We’ve raised over $64,000 from individual donors across the district and have successfully surpassed our voter contact goals. We’ve run an impressive ground game and feel very confident that Cindy will win on Election Day.”
Cindy Friedman (D-Arlington) said, “I’m very proud of the positive campaign we have run and the work we have done to outreach to voters in the 4th Middlesex. We have built an incredible organization, knocked on thousands of doors, and have steadily built support. Given our strong operation and hard work along the campaign trail, I’m confident that we will do very well next Tuesday.”
According to a recent poll, Friedman is leading the race in Lexington, Woburn, Burlington, and Billerica. The campaign expects that Arlington will be a dead heat.
In directly addressing the voters of the 4th Middlesex, Friedman added, “This campaign has never been about me. It’s always been about you. For the last 9 years, I have had the honor of serving this district that I care so deeply about alongside my good friend Senator Ken Donnelly. When he was fighting for your interests, I was right there with him. I want to continue his legacy and continue working for you as your next state Senator.”
The special primary election will be held next Tuesday, June 27th. The 4th Middlesex district includes Arlington, Burlington, Billerica, Woburn, and precincts 1-2 and 4-7 in Lexington.
